Lucy's final fan fiction

Friends forever

Chihiro was sitting by the window, looking up at the clear sky. It has been 4 years since the day she returned from that magical world of spirits and witches but Chihiro felt like everything just happened yesterday. Everything from the extraordinary adventure was still so vivid in her mind and she can recall all the memories every time she thinks of Haku or things they did together when she was a little girl working in the bathhouse.

“Haku, I miss you.” Chihiro whispered softly. There was no response. Every night when the moon was full, Chihiro climbed upon the roof, sit there for hours and looked up at the sky with great hope that she would be able to see him again.

To Chihiro, Haku always occupied a special place in her heart. The friendship between them was unspeakably special that Chihiro found it hard to find someone who can replace Haku.

Chihiro had been always a mysterious girl to most people. Even though she was loveable, very helpful and always one of the best students in her class, Chihiro never really had a close friend.

Her parents had been worried a lot about it because she was becoming a teenager and as they saw on TV or newspapers every day, there was statistics showing that the teenager depression symptom had become very common. She hardly brought a friend home or had gossip for hours on the phone with her girlfriends like most of other teen girls usually do. Chihiro preferred spending time alone, reading, making her insect collection boxes.

Last week, Chihiro was making some sandwiches in the kitchen while she overheard her parents’ conversation about their worries that Chihiro was not very socially friendly compared to girls her age.

“No one understands even Mom and Dad” she cried. “I am the only one who knows about the existence of the spirit world and no matter how hard I try to explain to people, no one is going to believe me. Mom, Dad, do you actually forget everything about that time, when you both transformed into pigs and were caged in Yubaba’s animal farm? Being the only one person bearing a secret that can never be told is such a burden. I’m hopeless and feeling so lonely.”

As she sighed and curled up in her bed, Chihiro looked out the window and in that moment, only in a wink, Chihiro was so sure that she saw a white dragon flying in the sky.

“Haku” Chihiro called. “Is that you?”

She then rubbed her eyes. There was nothing in the sky but a few billowing white clouds. That night, Chihiro cried herself to sleep and strangely, in her dream, she saw herself becoming trapped in the town of spirits once again.

Chihiro was so nervous, exactly like the first time she got lost in this place 4 years ago. She quickly hid in a corner at the end of a street by the river.

“Look at my hands” Chihiro talked quietly to herself. “They’re so tiny. And my clothes. This is the bathhouse’s uniform. What am I doing here?” Until then Chihiro realized that she was in the form of her 10-year-old version.

“This can’t be happening!”. Chihiro sit down on the ground, shut her eyes tightly and covered her ears. All the memories came back to her mind. Losing her own name, losing her parents, working in the bathhouse with the spell put on her forever.

Then there was a familiar tender voice.

“Chihiro. Calm down. Don’t be afraid”

As she turned back, Chihiro immediately recognized Haku standing next to her with his eyes looking at her dearly. She was utterly speechless.

“Ho…how….howw.. do you…”

“It’s fine, Chihiro. You are in your dream, not in the spirit world. But this is the only way I can do to approach you. I apologize if it scared you”

Haku didn’t look any different. Still that pale skin with dark green shoulder-length hair and those deep bright eyes. Chihiro’s heart was suddenly filled with happiness and warm affection for meeting the boy she had been longing to see in a very long time.

“I thought I’d never see you again, Haku”. Chihiro said in a voice choked with emotions.

“It was really difficult to come and see you, Chihiro. We are totally forbidden entering your world. But with my crystal ball, I still know how things go with you. I know you’re doing very well at school. You’re always a determined smart girl.”

“I thought you’ve forgotten me.”

“I’d never forget you, Chihiro. I know things have become hard for you as nobody in the human world know about the existence of the spirit world but you. You are the only one and will be the only one. It can be hard sometimes to be the only person keeping the secret. But I never want to erase your memories of my world because I want you to remember all the beautiful moments we had. You’re my very special friend.”

“But I feel lonely because I really want to have you with me always so I can tell you my problems and share with you all my secrets.” Chihiro sniffed.

“In my world, people never get old. We stay with our age forever. I’ll eternally be in the form of a 12 year-old boy. But you’ll grow up and you have an exciting life ahead waiting for you. Be strong and make the most of your life. I’ll always be by your side. I’ll never forget you as long as you still have me in your heart.”

Then they sat down together by the river bank. Chihiro put her head on Haku’s shoulder and she remembered the last sentence Haku told her before she fell asleep peacefully beside him:

“Good friends are like stars. You don’t always see them but you know they’re always there.”

Chihiro woke up the next morning, totally refreshed and cheerful.

“What am I doing today? That’d be silly staying home in a beautiful sunny day like this.” Chihiro thought to herself with excitement. “I might call Satsuki and see if she wants to go shopping with me.”

And when Chihiro picked up the phone to ring her friend, she saw the white dragon again, flying up and down in the sky and finally disappeared over the horizon.

Grace Fan Fiction Final

Jono and Ben take on Summer Bay.

So it begins... Jono and Ben enter the Bay as a newly wedded gay couple.

They aren't actually sure of their sexualities but got married in a McDonald's children's function room because they thought it would be good for ratings and wanted to be "good as bros" getting all their mates free soft serve without looking like “paedos” crashing a kid's party.

Guy Williams pushed for the ceremony having paid fifteen dollers for a marriage licence last time he was drinking alone on the Internet. The three boys do paper scissors rock to decide who gets to pick the honeymoon destination. Guy wins.

Upon arrival at Summer Bay the boys rush around trying to get the last of their wedding photos with Sally Fletcher; the classic beauty of the Bay. Unfortunately the River Boys spot Jono and Ben.

"Hey it's Jono and Ben the poofs!" Letting them know who's boss, Heath and a couple of mates give them "the bash" for wearing gay wedding outfits.

However, half way through the "bashing" Heath discovers Jono’s arm tattoos "What are these? Sweet tatts bro! I need to get me to New Zealand for some ink!" The two reconcile and go for protein shakes at the diner. Jono confesses to Heath that he actually only got married for the free soft serves you get if you book a function room at Mc Donalds.

This initiates a conversation about how "sick" the new frozen yoghurt flavors are over at the surf club. The boys decide it would be a good idea to get a dollop of frozen yoghurt in each of their protein shakes. Heath gets chocolate, while Jono gets berry.

Meanwhile outside, Brax -who wasn't part of the bashing because he's "gone soft" according to the boys, runs into Ben who's licking his wounds.

"You alright there fella?" He asks.

"Ahh, yeah naa bro been better ay."

"Come back to mine I'll patch ya up". Instantly Ben thinks this guy is a lonely "poof" looking for love but is bleeding profusely so doesn't argue. The pair limps away towards Brax’s black Ute. Ben has to sit in the back because his leg won't bend -it is clearly broken.

He tells Brax he's going to get a glow-in-the-dark cast. Brax reckons he should let him sign it since they are now "BFFs". Just as the Ute is about to pull away Guy Williams runs up screaming and flapping his arms like a seagull.

"Ralph, Ralph, everybody it's Ralph!"

"I think you mean Alf", laughs Brax, not quite grasping the seriousness of the situation.

"He's hurt! There's been a shark attack!"

The two boys sprint down to the beach. Ben hobbles behind in his own time feeling a bit useless.

Upon reaching the water's edge the three of the brawniest men Summer Bay has ever seen grind to a standstill.

Heath and Jono are already there. Nobody wants to go in and risk being attacked by a shark. Someone has to do it.

After several unsuccessful group rounds of paper, scissors, rock, it becomes known that Heath and Jono had just been having protein shakes. Majority rule, it is decided that the protein shake boys should head into the water as having had the shakes would clearly give them an edge against the shark.

On the job, Heath and Jono tragically come to the realisation that they and the other boys spent too much time fluffing around at the waters edge to save Alf's leg. The shark has torn it off in one foul swoop and is smashing it up now bite by hungry bite. Alf is bleeding uncontrollably and if he doesn't get to a doctor soon he will die.

Using all their energy summoned up from their protein shakes, Heath and Jono haul Alf up onto the beach.

Greeted by Dr Walker and his medicine bag, both guys breathe a sigh of relief -maybe their rescue efforts wont have been in vain after all. The doctor pops up a tent on the beach to give Alf some privacy while he tidies up the leg amputation.

It takes an hour and a half, during which Heath and Jono go and grab another protein shake together to kill time. Brax, Ben and Guy decide it would be disrespectful not to stay as support during the operation. Alf loses a lot of blood by the shark bite. Luckily Dr Walker is a very experienced physician and does his absolute best patch up job to put a stop to the bleeding as quickly as possible.

"I'm done here but he will have to be taken immediately to hospital” announces Dr Walker at the end of the hour and a half.

"But my boat!" Cries Alf.

Typically, he was fishing off it when then accident occurred, the shark pulling the old man into the ocean.

"Your welfare is more important than your boat, I'm afraid." Dr Walker responds. "Here's the ambulance anyway we have to go."

At the hospital Alf’s stump is transformed into something that can be attached to a prosthetic leg.

"I expect that he will continue to lead a quality existence,” announces Dr Walker. Heath, Jono, Guy, and Brax still feel responsible. They will forever be in Alf’s debt for not getting him out of the water fast enough to save his leg.

The kiwi boys feel obliged to move to Summer Bay to look after Alf. By law they will have to marry a Summer Bayian to warrant a Visa. Either that or go into the ballot. What with all the TV coverage Summer Bay has become a very popular place to live.

Luckily Guy Williams confesses to holding an illegitimate marriage license. The previous wedding was a fraud. The four boys make a quick dash to the registry office of Summer Bay to say their vows and become citizens.

Alf watches on proud. Having a near-death experience has brought him close to the boys, like sons. He looks forward to having Jono and Ben handy to help in the bait shop in later days.

Kyungohk's Fan fiction draft

I have chosen "A dog of Flanders" as my cannon.

A Dog of Flanders is an 1872 novel by English author Marie-Lauise de la Ramee
under the pseudonym Ouida. It is about a Flemish boy named Nello and his faithful dog, Patrasche, set in the Flemish village of Antwerp. The story, widely read over 100 years, has been adapted into films and TV series as well as animation. The story focuses on Nello, a boy growing up with his grandfather Jehan after the death of his parents, and the dog, Patrasche, which he and his grandfather saved from near death on the street. Nello also has the support of his best friend Aloise but her father does not like Nello because of his poverty. This story ends sadly with the death of Nello and Patrasche.

The type of FF is drama and the main Characters are Nello, Jehan ,Patrasche and Aloise.

An azure blue sky, with the heavy scent of flowers, and the sudden rush of wind, Nello found himself in an unfamiliar place. He started walking. Soon, he came upon a hill, and he could see his grandfather and Patrasche from afar. His grandfather’s face looked peaceful and serene. His best friend Patrasche no longer looked haggard or starved. Nello felt a familiar warm sensation that caressed his heart and started to quicken his pace towards them. But, no matter how hard and fast he tried to walked he couldn’t reach them. “Grandpa, Patrasche! Wait, please! I need to tell you something!” Nello desperately cried. The harder he cried the more desperate he became because the pair continued to smile peacefully at Nello, without an answer and without a sound. The warm, heartening sensation he felt just moments before soon evaporated and was replaced with a fearful tremor that ran his whole body. Just then his grandfather, though still miles away,, told him softly, but firmly, as if he was right next to him, “Don’t you worry Nello my boy, we’ll meet again, but now is not your time, you still have quite a bit to do. My young Nello, you will do great things some day.” Nello couldn’t comprehend his grandfather’s words. He suddenly felt a coldness in his chest that he couldn’t escape. He started towards them, trying to reach them again, whatever it took to be with them once more. But the more ground he gained, the further they seemed to be. He started to run. But suddenly, above his head came a roaring sound, so piercing and clear his eyes forced open. He came to his senses and scanned his surroundings. Everything was stark white. He realized he was lying in a hospital bed, surrounded by white linen sheets and empty beds. He hung his head, his body in tremors. His face became wet with tears as he realized he was left all alone in this world, a world not worth living without his dear family.

Then, a whisper. No, whispers, that seem to grow more intense and yet, strangely hushed, as if they don’t want others overhearing. Soon, a rushing through his ears. “Did you hear about that poor little boy? I heard that his dog Patrasche died and was buried beside his grandfather with the help of the villagers…” These words seemed to echo through his ears..”Yeah, and that the only reason this boy survived was because his dog covered him from the cold. Crazy huh?”

Time passed strangely fluidly, and soon the scents and colours of spring flourished. The little buds began to flutter and rise into beautiful flowers and as summer approached, more and more flowers bloomed as if to signal a new awakening. The subtle scent of flowers filled the atmosphere. Nello, quite different from before, showed a more energetic stride in his step as he walked. After the death of Patrasche many things changed. He no longer spent his days in the orphanage as Nello became part of a new family. At first, like it would for anyone, it was hard to get used to this new life of his. But he never gave up his optimism that things will turn out better as each day passed. Nello's new parents recognised his talent for painting and never hesitated to support his art. They helped him financially for his dreams to succeed. Then time passed...and passed..and passed in a comfortable pattern until Nello has become fully grown, and a man no longer haunted with worries and regrets from his past. His footsteps become lighter on his way from one of his exhibits. Not only because his art works turned out brilliantly with many applause, but alsol because he decided that a trip down memory lane would be nice.

Today was the day. He was ready to go back. He kept a light tune, humming all the way. His footsteps were light as if he were treading on mere clouds. The day was so clear, bright and beautiful that he knew not even his own paintings could capture this so accurately. Not because of the sun which shone as brightly as Nello's own smile, not because of the flowers and bees that seemed to hum to gether in unison but because beyond the hilltop there stood his Aloise, smiling up at him, a smile that to him, felt just like home. Nello decided to stand his ground, no longer the hiding coward he was before, but a new man. Nello’s heart began to beat faster, fluttering repeatedly in his chest. He runs towards her and hears her words, “It’s been so long Nello, you haven’t changed a bit.” He grins. He clasps her hands and they both look down the hilltop overlooking the village beneath them happily content with the world.
